The 2nd UBIAS Directors Meeting in Jerusalem will address the challenges facing academia as it adapts to new norms and realities. In particular, there is a need to focus on the question of what will be the role of University-based Institutes of Advanced Study in a changing world. 

The meeting will host twenty directors and codirectors, representing fourteen University-Based Institutes of Advanced Study. The program will enable the participants to present and explore the complexities of the relationship of UBIAS to their host institutions, as well as the individual path to be forged by each UBIAS within the overall academic world.
