The workshop will bring together historians and archaeologists for a multidisciplinary and multinational gathering, and the first of its kind to comprehensively assess the cultural, social and political trajectories of the state and the empire of Qin, its relation to other cultures within and outside the Zhou cultural sphere, its historical image, and its impact on the subsequent history of the Chinese empire.
