While collective memory is hardly a new topic, both as an intellectual endeavour and as a scholarly challenge, it still raises new and timely theoretical questions while presenting new cultural frontiers and empirical realities. This conference aims to enlance and even establish a necessary shared language among different disciplines and various cultures whose interest lies in and around collective memory.
