The Exclusivity and Universality in Shi'ite Islam conference is a follow-up colloquium to the Research Group that resided at the Institute in 2002-2003. The papers presented will deal with aspects of the three major currents of Shi'i Islam as well as with an early Nusayri-Alawi text. Medieval and contemporary issues will also be discussed.The reunion will provide a good opportunity to hear progress reports on research that had begun at the Institute.
