The recent financial crisis has sharpened the need for a reevaluation of the current models in Financial Economics that relate to the efficiency and the equilibrium of financial markets worldwide. The goal of the conference is to initiate a discussion of these models, both their strengths and weaknesses, and to begin to build a platform for new research in this field, building on and improving the existing models.

Topics to be addressed include: Financial Modeling, Asset Pricing, Bubbles and Anomalies in Capital Markets, Banking, Risk Management and Investment, Contingent Claims Analysis, Corporate Finance, Managed Funds Performance, and Investor Behaviour.
