Publications documenting advances in metal-oxide cluster science and applications represent a large and rapidly growing literature that now includes ca. 1500 publications per year. This growth reflects rapid advances and new findings in topics that include new and emerging applications in catalysis, photocalysis and nano-electronics, in conjunction with fundamental advances in structure, bonding and reactivity from molecular to nano-scale size domains.
As a result of the rapid rate and wide scope of these advances in science and technology, major international meetings that bring together leading scientists from this diverse field have, for the last decade, been held every two or three years. Now, for the first time, a conference of similarly broad scope and depth will be held in Israel. The plenary lectures and invited talks will represent the wide range of topics that metal oxide cluster science now emcompasses.
