The conference will be organized within the format of workshops:
1. "Identity and Nationality" - this workshop will address the identities and national aspirations of Jews, Poles, and Ruthenians within the Austrian province that was created after the partitions of Poland.
2. "Religion and Community" - this workshop will reflect on the unique features of Galicia as the most populous Jewish region in Eastern Europe, and the cradle of both Hasidism and Haskalah (Enlightenment).
3. "Text and Literature" - this workshop will explore the modern literature produced in Polish and Hebrew that emerged in Galicia.
