Sabine Schmidtke (Institute for Advanced Sties, Princeton) is one of the leading scholars in the field of Islamic intellectual history and theology. Professor Schmidtke’s work has profoundly shaped our understanding of the transmission of knowledge across the Islamic world, particularly in the areas of kalām, philosophy, and manuscript traditions. She has held distinguished positions at various institutions worldwide, and her research is widely recognized for bringing to light previously overlooked texts and scholarly networks.
