The conference will bring together scholars and students working on various aspects of the Crusades and the Latin East during the 11th-14th centuries.
The main themes of the conference include: Jerusalem in Christian, Muslim and Jewish spirituality; Frankish-Greek and Frankish-Muslim relations; Jerusalem in Crusading history and historiography; medieval Arabic historiography of the Crusading period; medieval Oriental Christian communities in the East; Muslims under Frankish rule; religious life; urban history; liturgy and pilgrimage.
