Join us for the "Judæo-Iranian Intellectual Landscapes and Beyond: Cultural History of Jewish Communities Across the Centuries" workshop on July 9-10, 2024, at the Israel Institute for Advanced Studies, Feldman Building, hall 130, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Edmond J. Safra Campus, Givat Ram.

Iran has been home to Jewish communities since the Babylonian exile around 586 BCE, yet the period following the Islamic conquest of Iran in the 7th century CE onwards, remains a mysterious and largely uncharted territory in the annals of intellectual, literary, and cultural history. At this Workshop, participants will discuss various aspects of Jewish history and culture in Iran and beyond, unveiling the hidden treasures of Iranian Jewish heritage.
