This conference will bring together clinicians and basic researchers, molecular biologists and immunologists, students and senior faculty, all exploring together the interplay between the immune system and tumors, on the bench (in experimental systems) and at the bedside (as applied to patients). The meeting will cover the following topics:

(1) The clinical setting: the major challenges in immune-related cancer medicine
(2) The basic science of immune-tumour interactions
(3) Methods for monitoring the immune system inside tumours
(4) Methods for immune-modulation
