The workshop will survey current trends and possible future research directions in String Theory, in an effort to bring theoretical developments and observational opportunities closer together. Topics to be addressed are: the theoretical approach to QCD, the role of String Theory in model building and LHC physics, recent developments in black hole physics and formal approaches to String Theory.
