Dorit Aharonov is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Hebrew University. Following MSc studies at the Weizmann Institute, Dorit completed a joint PhD degree in physics and computer science at The Hebrew University. After postdoctoral studies at the IAS Princeton and UC Berkeley, Dorit joined the faculty at The Hebrew University. Dorit’s main research interest is the study of quantum systems as information processing systems, and the understanding of quantum many-body entanglement. She is particularly interested in the design of new quantum algorithms, quantum games and protocols, and the borderline between quantum and classical phenomena. Dorit seeks to shed light on quantum phenomena using insights from the computational perspective.
