The inaugral program of the "New Frontiers in Islamic Studies German-Israeli Summer School" is funded by the Einstein Foundation, Berlin. This Summer School is an opportunity for senior and junior scholars from Israel and Europe to present and discuss various aspects of the intellectual and social history of the region between the Nile and Oxus in the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries (not forgetting the political background).
