Re'em Sari is a professor of Astrophysics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his PhD from The Hebrew University in 1998 and held positions at the Negev Nuclear Research Center and Caltech before joining the faculty of The Hebrew University in 2008. His research focuses on cosmological gamma-ray bursts and their afterglow, as well as dynamical issues in planet formation and their orbital evolution.

Prof. Sari has received numerous awards and honours, including the Radcliffe fellowship (2011), the Guggenheim fellowship (2011), the Frankiel Award (2007) and the Warner Prize of the American Astronomical Society (2006).
