Three IIAS former fellows collaborated to organize an international workshop titled "Displacement, Forced Migration and Reparation: Comparisons and Controversies" at the University of Sussex, UK. This event was co-hosted by the Jacob Robinson Institute for the History of Individual and Collective Rights at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Weidenfeld Institute of Jewish Studies at the University of Sussex, and the IIAS.

The workshop, held on December 12–13, brought together scholars from diverse fields to explore the historical, legal, and social dimensions of displacement and forced migration, as well as the complexities surrounding reparations. The program included a keynote lecture by Megan Bradley (McGill University) on "Citizenship, Alienage and Irreparable Loss: New Frontiers in Redressing Displacement." Panels addressed topics ranging from historical case studies to contemporary challenges, with contributions from institutions worldwide.
