Kathryn Campbell is an Associate Professor of Criminology at the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her research interests include issues relating to miscarriages of justice, as well as examining the limits of expert testimony in criminal trials, a comparative study regarding the impact of preventative detention strategies on wrongful conviction, an examination of schemes of exoneration and compensation for the wrongly convicted, and a study of questions concerning the admissibility of problematic evidence. She is the director of Innocence Ottawa, a pro bono, student-run innocence project that helps the wrongly convicted apply for conviction review to the Minister of Justice. Her other research interests include indigenous justice, youth justice and animal law.
