Adiel Schremer is Professor in the Department of Jewish History at Bar-Ilan University and Director of the Halpern Center for the Study of Jewish Self-Perception. His research interests span Jewish history of the late Second Temple, the Mishnah and Talmudic periods, Jewish-Christian relations in Antiquity, history and anthropology, legal theory and Talmudic literature. Adiel was recipient of the Michael Bruno Memorial Award in 2011.
