Aharon is a professor in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Haifa. His research interests are autochthonous Arabic dialects of the Jews of Sudan, India and Singapore as well as of the Jews of northern Israel as reflected in ethnographic texts from Haifa, Safed, and Tiberias.
