Ariel Rubinstein is a professor in the Department of Economics at Tel Aviv University. He earned his PhD in Economics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1979, and was a faculty member at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem before joining the Tel Aviv University faculty in 1990. His areas of research are economic theory, game theory and bounded rationality.

Prof. Rubinstein has received numerous honours, including being a foreign honorary member of The American Economic Association (1995) and The Academy of Arts and Sciences (1994), and being a fellow of the Econometric Society (1985).
