Professor Eliezer Rabinovici s a professor at the Racah Institute of Physics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His area of research is theoretical high-energy physics, in particular quantum field theory and string theory.
He serves as the head of the National Higher Energy Committee of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Vice-President of the CERN Council which operates the world's leading laboratory for the study of elementary particles, The European Particle Laboratory.He sits on the Scientific Council of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Professor Rabinovici was visiting professor as several leading American and European institutes and universities, and was a member of the High Energy Physics Board of the European Physical Society.
