Elon Lindenstrauss is a professor in the Einstein Institute of Mathematics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his PhD in Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1999, and was a professor at Princeton University before joining The Hebrew University faculty in 2008. His research areas are ergodic theory, and dynamical systems and their applications to number theory.
Prof. Lindenstrauss has received numerous scholarships and awards, including the European Mathematical Society Prize (2004), the Salem Prize (2003), and the Leonard M. and Eleanor B. Blumenthal Award for the Advancement of Research in Pure Mathematics (2001).
