Gadi Algazi

Gadi Algazi is a professor in the Department of History at Tel Aviv University. He received his Dr. Phil from the University of Göttingen in 1992 before joining the Tel Aviv University faculty. His research interests are: late medieval and early modern social and cultural history; historical anthropology; history and theory of the social sciences; settler colonialism andfrontier societies; historical semantics; and history of family and kinship. Prof. Algazi has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the Humboldt Fellowship (1998/9), Yad HaNadiv Fellowship (1995-1997), and the Alon Fellowship (1994-1997).
