Hagit Attiya is the Harry W. Labov and Charlotte Ullman Labov Academic Chair at the Technion. She received her PhD in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1987, and held positions at Tel Aviv University and MIT before joining the Technion in 1990. Her research interests are distributed and parallel computing: synchronization primitives, fault-tolerance, agreement problems, randomization, timing-based algorithms; transactional memory; packet switches; and performance analysis of distributed servers.
