Irit Dinur is a professor in the Department of Applied Math and Computer Science at the Weizmann Institute of Science. She received her PhD in 2001 from Tel Aviv University, and after holding positions in IAS Princeton and UC Berkeley, she joined the Weizmann Institute faculty. Her research focus is in theoretical computer science, and especially in error-correcting codes and probabilistically checkable proofs, both of which capture a certain “robustness” in computation.
