Lutz Doering is currently Reader in New Testament and Ancient Judaism in the Department of Theology and Religion at the University of Münster. His research interests focus on the New Testament, Early Christianity, Second Temple Judaism, especially the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Pseudepigrapha, as well as Early Rabbinic Judaism. Lutz is currently working on a commentary on the Tosefta tractate Shabbat, and is preparing a comprehensive study of Jewish religion in the Graeco-Roman period.
