Moshe is a professor in the Department of German, Russian and East European Studies and the Department of Linguistics at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research interests are: Old Church Slavonic and Old Russian Language and literature; translations from the Hebrew in ancient Russia and the Great Duchy of Lithuania; the beginnings of modern Eastern Yiddish; and contemporary Yiddish in Jerusalem.
