Steven E. Fassberg, of the Department of Hebrew Language at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, holds the Caspar Levias Chair in Ancient Semitic Languages. A member of the Academy of the Hebrew Language, he is also an Associate Editor of The Historical Dictionary of the Hebrew Language project. His research interests include Aramaic dialectology, Biblical Hebrew, Qumran Hebrew and Northwest Semitics.
