Research Groups are organized by a proposal initiator(s) who nominates at least five and no more than eight candidate fellows (total number including the initiator is not to exceed 8). These scholars (i.e. core fellows) will be in residence at the IIAS for the entire residency period of the RG. The selection of candidates should strategically strengthen the collaborative work of the Research Group. The IIAS encourages the participation of early and mid-career fellows. Inadequate representation of women in the RG will negatively affect its chances of receiving funding.
