We wish warm congratulations to Roger Kornberg (General Director of our Advanced School in Life Sciences), Ronit Ricci (2018-2019 Research Group organizer), Michael Karayanni (2007 Bruno Award laureate) and Noam Nisan (2004 Bruno Award laureate) who were elected this week as members of the Israel Academy of Sciences and the Humanities.
The 143 members of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities are Israel's most illustrious scientists and scholars who monitor and promote Israeli intellectual excellence, advise the government on scientific planning, fund and publish research of lasting merit, and maintain active contact with the broader international scientific and scholarly community.
These appointments are a testament to the significant contributions of our distinguished colleagues to academia and society.
