Odeh Bishara is a writer and social activist based in Yaffa Nazareth, Israel. Born in 1958, he has dedicated his life to public and social engagement, particularly in Jewish-Arab movements. Throughout his career, Odeh has made significant contributions to journalism, literature, and television.

Odeh's writing journey began with his role as the editor of Al-J'ad, a youth magazine, and a weekly columnist for the Al-Etihad newspaper, both in Arabic. Currently, he shares his insights through a weekly column in the opinion page of Haaretz, a renowned Hebrew newspaper. In addition, Odeh contributes to various Arabic websites, covering a range of topics.

Odeh received the Ministry of Culture Award in 2017 for his outstanding contributions to prose. He has authored several books, including "The streets of Zatunya," a novel written in Arabic in 2007. The success of this work led to subsequent editions in Hebrew, published by "Am Oved" in 2009, and in Finnish, published by "Anto" in 2015. Another notable novel, "Dunya," was published in Arabic in 2015. Additionally, Odeh has explored playwriting, with the release of "Play in Arabic" in 2017.

Odeh's work has transcended the boundaries of literature and reached the television screen. He has participated as a social and political commentator in Arabic TV shows, including appearances on Channel 12 and i24 TV, among others.

By reshaping societal narratives and challenging the status quo, Odeh Bishara has made a significant impact. Through his writing, he has fostered a deep understanding and connection between different cultures. Odeh's commitment to promoting dialogue and social change is a testament to his dedication as a writer and advocate for peaceful co-existence between Arabs and Jews.
