Reuven is a professor in the Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research interests are: the history of the late medieval Islamic world, with an emphasis on military history: the Mamluk Sultanate, the Mongols in the Middle East, the wars of the Crusading period; Islamization; Palestine in the Middle Ages; late medieval Arabic epigraphy.
