Yaakov Mascetti is senior lecturer in Comparative Literature at Bar-Ilan University in Israel. His research interests in religious lyrics, rhetoric and semiotics has brought him in the last few years to write on the sensorial perception on sermons and poetry, writing on John Donne's sermons, John Milton's protestant ineffable sacramentalism and Aemilia Lanyer's erotic perception and verbal re-presentation of the Passion. Coordinator of this research group, with this project he looks to broaden the scopes of his interests and to give them an interdisciplinary basis. His first book, Tokens of Love, is forthcoming in three parts on Common Knowledge (Duke University Press).
